On The Road To Leavenworth, WA….

Mural outside the Beer Hall in Leavenworth, Wa…

Eileen and I are out in Washington visiting her family. We ‘escaped’ one day and took a trip to Leavenworth. This is a small ‘Bavarian’ village where shopping and beer are the main attractions.

Along the way…

Plenty of places to stop and shoot. The freight train was kind enough to stop and pose…

I spotted this home for old cars along the side of the road…

Home for old cars…

Brian the owner dropped by as we started shooting.

Brian…

He was super nice…allowed us to take photos of the cars…

1938 Valiant…
Chevy hood ornament
Three car monty…

and then took us inside to see his ‘collection’.  He’s a picker and has many interesting things in his garage…These are but a few of them.

Brian’s riding mask…
These boots were meant for walking….
Brian’s collection continued outside…

We also found this church…it was closed or we would have gone inside.

The Vitality Chrisitian Church…

After a long day we were getting tired and thought of possibly staying here…

Rooms from $40…

but decided to head home to the family.

The Ori-Hezroni clan…
Sabba‘ Ellery with Shylee…the newest member of the family…

  1. You bet we were…he turned out to be very nice (even if his dog took a nip at me…LOL)…There was so much inside his garage. Eileen took more of those than I did.

  2. I think you guys are on your way to a book on American decrepitude (does one even exist yet?), with special focus on old cars. Such great shots. And grandpa-ism definitely becomes you Ellery! Judy
